The Judgement Day
I was the most superior one in the Nation. I had always held my head high as everyone loved me, I was always wanted!
If I wasn't available, my subordinate was used. He was also very happy with the respect he got. I didn't mind because I was super busy!
Then, came a day that we both made fun of others that they were less wanted, they never looked new,people wouldn't dare to mishandle us, whereas the treatment the others get is secondary, we are for special occasions whereas the others are ordinary, etc.. We were in prime time of our lives, always in demand!
Success tasted utterly sweet to us and it got to our heads!!
One night, by 8 the Head of the Institution called everyone and declared from now on, these two would be dismissed with immediate effect! We were so shocked! What had happened, we couldn't even think that this was our Judgement day!
There was chaos everywhere and who all desired us, wanted to send us away! They were trying every way to send us, we were in tears. Nobody wanted us anymore and we couldn't understand why!
Soon, someone told us that new ones will be appointed soon, the ones with more grace and shine and who will be soon welcomed everywhere.
Some started to give us away and got the new ones in return and we were thrown in to a big box! To our utter dismay, only my subordinate and me were there and nobody, whom we both made fun of were visible any near! They all had become dear now and everyone secured them! Some even said its better to have these usual ones than the special some, which part ways in a jiffy! We were in tears hearing this!
We learnt many things that day:
Its always better to be humble forever, rather than being in the limelight only for sometime!
Pride comes before a fall.
We should accept the happenings, so the pain could be endured. As we didn't accept, it brought more heartache to us and we refused to think about the solutions and got stuck at one thought!
We should embrace change! After all the new ones would be doing what we were doing all the while!
So please learn from us and make yourselves lovable till the end.
