Evolution of Language

Evolution of Language

As our kids were smaller, we communicated easily in our mother tongue. Now that they are growing fast, we are in a position to learn a new language for communication! We, here is my spouse and I! Everything can't be spoken in front of kids but ours are very curious to know what we talk! Like Fred and George's extended ear in Harry potter, our daughter has her ears attached to wherever we both are!

When we speak in Tamil, Telugu or English, our kids understand! I know little Hindi but hubby is an expert! My broken Hindi with English is easy for kids to understand! So, I tried a new way of language, I.e.. We speak in spellings..H-O-W L-ONG Y-O-U W-I-L-L B-E IN OFFICE CALL but what happened was my hubby couldn't understand and our daughter understood!! She explained to him! Grrr..

When we talked encrypted words using code names, still our kids decrypted! We were in a fix! My mom and I speak a completely different Tamil which she and I talk incase we want to share something! I told my hubby to learn it but he doesn't get the hang of it!

We both are now exploring options to learn a new language which kids can't understand! Any tips? ;)
