On the move!
Moving drains our energy and tests our patience and grit! We are frequent movers, from one house to another, one apartment to another and even from one country to another!
In a way, this frequent moving has given enormous confidence to us that we can live in smaller spaces, huge spaces, with or without stuff and nothing is indispensable as long as we think, we can!
Some movements just happen due to work transfers or when in same city due to one or the other reason. The latest being the owner was in the idea of selling the apartment. I want my privacy and so I can't stand people moving in and out to take a look. Thats why we decided to move quickly and luckily by God's grace, we found another apartment nearby.
I love the decluttering before and after moving. It helps us to have a look at what we are actually accumulating so that we can focus on that area and declutter.
Our plan will be to set the home by Sunday to 80%. So if we start moving on Saturday, our kitchen will get set by Saturday evening. This is the highest priority. The next one is we live out of suitcases for the next 2 days.
Kids stuff comes next and all calls like dth, Wi-Fi will be booked before the moving date.
Any dress not worn in the last 6 months will find another owner. Same goes with kids toys. I read somewhere which made me think, "If your stuff isn't serving you, it won't be serving you any better packed in a box"!
Moving is good, especially we welcome it by having a minimalist attitude!
