Novelty cooking?!

 Novelty cooking?!

Recently I am looking at different combinations in sweets and other food items.

Rasamalai cake, Gulabjamun stuffed cake, Gulabjamun stuffed kesari, pasta pizza, Ice cream cake..

Why not?! I hear you! My question is why?

Gulabjamun as such is a wonderful sweet, why it should be stuffed inside another sweet called kesari? What a wierd thinking!


You should let Gulabjamun soak in sugar syrup and enjoy eating it bit by bit. If we stuff it inside kesari which is a simple but an enjoyable dish if made well, the beauty of both the sweets are lost!


Similarly for Gulabjamun stuffed cake! Who thinks this way?! At least for a cake, the ingredients are common for both GJ and cake but for kesari and GJ, one is sooji and the other is Maida!


Its inverse of soojiappam we make at home! Outer is Maida stuffed with Kesari!

Next I move on to pasta inside a pizza! Aahhhh..who invented this?! Pasta needs little time to cook relatively! Why dump both together in an oven?!

Are we all going crazy in the name of invention and creativity?! Why simple food isn't appreciated anymore?


Bottled up inside our homes in these challenging times, let us not make food items also in a different manner! If stomach upset happens, we don't know which one was the actual culprit!

Deepavali around the corner, let us make it enjoyable with tradition and not with experiments!
