An Intruder

An Intruder This happened when I was staying in London. It was my first trip out of our country and so I was excited about the entire thing..Due to my hubby's job, we had to shift there. We were staying in his official accommodation. It was second day of the week..When leaving for the office, my hubby had asked me to keep the door locked and told me that its a very safe place. I was confident since nobody can come in without my notice. It was 11'O. clock..I was feeling hungry,..had my brunch and settled in the bedroom with a book and a few audio cds..Around 11.30, I heard some noise..I thought some neighbors were coming in and hence the noise.. No,..this is not happening in the next door!! My intuitions told me to go and look..I came out of the room and was standing in the hall..clearly I could listen someone opening my door from outside!! oh my god!! whats happening!!?? A very fat woman,entered the house with a big 'Hello'!! I was shocked and meekly said a hello..she then explained that she cleans the house and the landlord has sent her..This happens every week and since the house we were staying was in the ground floor, she used to keep all the things in one of the rooms, take the vaccum cleaner, finish cleaning the houses and come back and collect them and leave!! I came back to my senses, managed with a smile and went back to my bedroom and resumed my reading..She then came back after 2 hours, cleaned our house too and left with a big bye..I was much relieved to see her leave!! I couldn't contact my hubby since I had no mobile and the landline telephone at the house wasn't working!! The first thing when I saw my hubby in the evening was to tell him what had happened during the day! He laughed at my fears but then tears came into my eyes seeing him laugh..He then consoled me and said she has another set of keys for all the houses for the purpose of cleaning!! I can never forget this incident in my life..
