Live and Let Live!

We should not trouble others! This should be the motto in life. Come what may, we have no rights in other people’s time and work, even if that’s our parents or spouse.
Many of us live life without having any principles. Asking our parents to pay our bills just because we are working, asking friends to take care of our vehicles when we are not in town, asking our mom to take care of our kids, etc..
Though the other angle is that parents and friends are there to help us, nobody can exploit others. Out of their affection, they might help us, but they might think bad that they are used. There is a saying in tamil that “nam kayye namakku udhavi” stating that we should do all our jobs by ourselves.
I can never accept the idea of using other’s time, like asking them to come to a place at a specific time and going late by 10 minutes. We don’t have the rights to make them wait by wasting their time! They might have so many other things to do but were magnanimous in spending a little time for us!
The same holds good among friends too. Taking the other for granted will bring a stress on the relationship. Similarly, borrowing money. Money strains any relationship once we start to borrow! We borrow only due to an emergency which is true, but soon that becomes a habit. The takers do not have the intention to give back money, even if they have the intention, they could not do so due to some other commitments. So, we need to follow-up and by the time we get the money back, the relationship is in a bad shape!
So, its always better to maintain a distance in any relationship just like the vehicles In the high ways. All the vehicles have a point to make, stating, “leave some distance behind any vehicle!” This is not only true for vehicles but for any relationship to avoid accidents and friction in relationships that last long a life!

  1. Good one but these days we need to help deserved people (in terms of money, time, favour etc) or else we need to help others without any expectation so there is no room for disappointment....
