Forgiveness

What is life? How do we live it?
The points below are my 2 cents..these are based out of my experiences and from the books I have read, the tips I have heard.
All of us live life just like a routine. We wake up, go to school, tuitions, come back, eat, study, sleep and by the time we realize, we are already grown up but we move to the next stage, the college. Now the location alone changes and not our way of looking at it.
Once we graduate, we go to the office, get married and live life with visits to the beach, restaurant, vacations, attending small functions, parties, family get-togethers. We complain of each other that this job is not done, that bill is not paid, you don’t love me anymore, you don’t care to spend time with me, regular fights, family politics, problems with in-laws, etc..
By the time we realize, we are already 35 and have responsibilities to take care of the spouse, kids, our parents and other social responsibilities.
Is this the way to live life?
Life is to be celebrated every moment till we breathe. At least once we grow up, we should know how to live life. The love we have on the special people, who make life meaningful to us, we should thank them for all that they have done to us. Thank mom, dad, hubby, kids for coming in to our lives and making it wonderful. Remember the days when the kid wasn’t born and how much you wanted to enter parenthood! Similarly, we realize the value of our parents only when we become parents. Call up parents and thank them for all that they have done for us. Call up friends for the special moments and how you cherish it.
Very importantly, throw away all frustration, anxiety, fear. Whatever politics happened in the family or at the workplace, do not carry it in our minds. Its more harmful to carry it in the head than in the shoulders. Throw them off at one go! Some saint told us the secret to live life happily is to understand one word – “Forgiveness”.
Forgive, whatever bad, people have done to you. Though its difficult to practice, its not impossible. Slowly, we can do it and only after doing it, we can experience the lightness it gives us. We don’t have to carry it on our backs as donkeys all through our life! As the days go by, the load keeps growing without we knowing it and one day we would feel it has been too much to carry. Free our minds from all these junk.
People will have to face whatever bad they do to others. The way they face it is not our business but they would have to face the consequences for sure. Our job is to move on! Not to brood over them or their doings. When we realize this, our lives will be more fulfilling and we will add meaning to life.
If you are going by car with your family, do not use the hands-free and answer the calls from office. That can be done at the allotted time and this is the time to enjoy with the family. Prioritize everything you have to do for the day and plan well. Planning is half doing and always think positive thoughts. Whatever the mind of man can conceive, it can achieve.
