Honk! Honk! Everywhere!
Who taught you to honk?
Is it a part of your lessons to obtain the driving license? Didn’t the same person teach you that it’s also noise pollution?
What do you think, the signal would change from red to green if you keep honking or the other people waiting would create space for you so that you can leave the place peacefully? Don’t you think you are creating public nuisance by honking repeatedly? Why do you scare kids and everyone by honking continuously?
Doesn't it irritate you? You start honking and the vehicle owner before you takes the relay! Come on! Give us a break!
Why have you lost patience? Can’t you wait for some more minutes? If you don’t want to wait, then please start early from home so that you would have enough time to travel! You don’t care about others! If on road, you should reach your destination fast! Only you have important work at hand and rest all are whiling away their time by waiting on the roads! You keep honking even if you are behind an ambulance!
How do you feel if someone behind you honks repeatedly? Do you have an urge to leave him way or to resist him? How can you give space while waiting at a traffic signal? If you win your way by honking, you take it as your way and keep honking everywhere even if it’s unnecessary.
Honking is to avoid accidents caused by carelessness, to drive away animals, to intimate people if they aren't supposed to cross the road when they actually are!
Haven’t you observed how small kids and old people shut their ears because of this noise? We have made a hole already in the Ozone, maybe we are not satisfied yet and so we create noise pollution, the next health hazard. Noise pollution can cause annoyance, anger and even high stress levels. Stress is the basis of all health issues and may lead to many serious issues!
One striking difference we find in foreign countries is that they don’t honk! Unbelievable? But, it’s true! They take it as an insult if someone honks from behind! Hence they ensure that they drive properly, without being a problem to others.
Just imagine your day starting with driving on the road, without anybody honking from behind you and even you are NOT honking! How pleasant it would be for everyone!
At least do NOT honk near schools, temples and hospitals. Make it a habit to honk only when absolutely necessary. We would not need any special meditation classes or stress relief exercises if we follow the basics of living! Only after developing such simple attributes, we can boast and say we are a developing nation too!
was powerful and basic things which everyone needs to follow.
