Charming Chennai

This city never loses its charm!
My beloved Chennai! How much I miss you! In whichever part of the world I am, I would always want to come and sit on your lap. Whenever I sit in the flight, I never fail to take a look from my window. How beautiful the roads are, the neatly lined up houses, the bunch of green trees here and there, the amazing sight of the blue beach, the blue blending with the clouds.
Chennai is always lively, be it shopping in the busy streets of T.nagar, walking in the marina or whiling away time in cinemas and shopping malls. Now a days, Chennai’s climate has gone in for a change. Though the summers are quite hot from March-June, we have rains from July-October and it becomes quite cold in the months of November-December, its enjoyable staying in this city all through the year!
We can even see people wearing mufflers and ear covers during their morning walks, the cold margazhi season with early morning hot pongal prasadams in the temples, live concerts, pattu pudavai clad mamis, hot filter coffee and traditional snacks in the sabha canteens.
My area, the wonderful west mambalam. The ever busy station road, the ayodhya mandapam, the various pocket friendly eateries for the foodies like the boli stalls, Bagya, kameswari, Thayar diary, Gujarati restaurant and many other unnamed yet ever tasty food joints. You name it and you get it here in west mambalam. The biggest advantage of staying in this area is that you can get whatever you want, right from accessories, dresses to jewels.
Chennai is known for its quality of education, south Indian music, the various classes like swimming, yoga, etc. Though we do have the daily issues like traffic, pollution, every city has all these issues and the quality of life is definitely better in Chennai.
Though I don’t stay in Chennai now, I would always want to get back sometime in future and settle down there and enjoy every bit of my stay.
