Omnipresence

Next to God, can you think of  one thing that's omnipresent?

To me, its dust!!

Yes! All of you who clean and dust your houses will agree with me! The more I clean, the more I realise I have much more to clean! Any room, there's always something to do with!

In this beautiful city of Chennai, wherever you turn, there's dust! There's an area called Puzhudhivakkam in Chennai, meaning the area of dust! Chennai as a whole is a large subset of Puzhudhivakkam!

Wherever you live, a corner apartment, row houses, a dead end street where there's no much vehicles moving or in the middle of the street, be it ground floor, first floor or second floor, its omnipresence will drive you mad!

The frequency in which you clean is directly proportional to its accumulation! Especially in front of the guests, its presence will be vivid! We will mark that spot but later on miss it, only for it to again rise its head in front of next set of guests! We are helpless! Fans, appliances, wires, none is an exception to its touch!

Next comes the tools we use for it! From expensive vacuum cleaners, spin mops, spray mops, microfiber cloths, paint brushes to toothbrushes, inexpensive brooms, the special brooms for the cobwebs, the wet tissues, whatever is new on Amazon, all these are the mighty kings on the side of Kauravas opposing the one single entity Krishna.

If any vacuum cleaner challenges to say its powerful, it should be tested in Chennai! Be it bagless or with bag, our back takes a toll! Post cleaning, clearing the accumulated dust from the vacuum cleaner is quite a task!

The cleaning activity is a loop, a dead lock! Needless to say, its impact in the kitchen! Who invented closed cupboards in the kitchen?! I always wonder!

Why is it mandatory to keep the house clean? Can't we be like Einstein or Steve Jobs who defended themselves saying their rooms must be in the way they prefer it to be! Also as a movie dialogue says, its not museum but a home!

This part, our body doesn't understand! It either indicates to us through cold, cough or fever or the AC stops working only to be diagnosed by dust allergy and hence has blocked its filters!

If AC has such a powerful mechanism to absorb dust, should the same not be implemented in vacuum cleaners?! There should be a swap in both the R&D departments!

I don't know how much I have to fight with an opponent who takes Viswarupa during shifting a residence or decluttering due to which we feel jitters!

May this war between us and the omnipresent dust, end and not make it omnipotent, thereby weakening our strength, first mental and physical!
