Chocolate Tea!

As a continuation to my post "The intricacy of Tea making",
https://vishmuk.blogspot.com/2019/05/chai-chaos.html

I would like to share my latest inclination towards this heavenly liquid, the chocolate tea! As we came back from our ooty trip, we had 100gms of different flavors of tea, cardamom, masala, ginger, lemon and chocolate. Its an unwrtitten rule at home that whoever makes tea, either me or my parents, we will share tea as we stay in opposite apartments, whenever it may be!

So, we first opened the ginger, then the masala and finally cardamom and lastly with little hesitation, Amma started to use the chocolate flavor. We were hesitant how chocolate tea would taste as eventhough, we are lovers of chocolate, we don't indulge much due to our own reasons. So, when Amma brewed the first cup and after tasting the first sip, our unanimous votes went for it!
Heavenly!

It reminded us of the Bangalore tea we used to have years ago but stopped having it as the quality degraded.

As the 100 gms packet is getting over, I wanted to call up the resort we stayed in Ooty and get their souvenir shop's contact details so that we can order again. A part of me was triggering me to find a recipe somewhere so that we can continue to drink chocolate tea.

I soon came up on few recipes and have found that "Eureka" moment! Here I share the recipe, please try and let me know if you are a tea lover like me :)

For 3 people:
Milk - 1.5 cups
water - 1 cup
Tea powder - I use three roses nature care 3 spoons
Sugar - According to taste
Cocoa powder - 1 spoon
If interested - cinnamon stick and cardamom
You can add more cocoa as per your taste.

Method:
Boil water, add tea powder, cinnamon and cardomom, add milk and cocoa powder, sugar, bring to boil, strain and enjoy this liquid by a quiet window side or bed side and sip every drop. I sometimes feel why can't the cup be bottomless ;)
