Blackberry

As someone said, life would have been happier when blackberry and apple were just fruits!
This is dedicated to all those sweet husbands who never fail to use their blackberry!
Come weekends, the blackberry gets more attention than ME! His first good morning is to his blackberry to check those mails, those meeting invites, etc.. Even If I say a good morning so lovingly, he would never care to look at me. From the time he gets up and goes to work, the blackberry would be used at a minimum of 20 to 30 times!
These days, work is more for everyone and life is so busy! So even if he gets back from work at 11pm, he would use his blackberry while having his dinner! And there have been so many nights when he would get up to check if all is well at work.
When we go to shop during weekends, I can be sure that he would check blackberry at least 10 times till we come back. Just that while driving he can’t check the phone; otherwise blackberry would be in front of his eyes. When we watch a movie, when we have dinner, even when we go to check houses for rent, my hubby would use his blackberry. Something or the other would always be the reason, be it weekend work, some migration activity at work place, daily issues, etc
As a wife, I feel so much left out, at restaurants, at movies, attending weddings, at railway station, at airport, when instead of enjoying the food or the company, he would check his phone! Instead of looking at the menu card, he would look at his blackberry!
Thank God, mobile phones should not be used inside temples! So when we come out from the temple, before wearing his slippers, he would check his phone! I would take a promise from him when leaving home that he would not use his phone until we get back home. Initially he would agree but he would never keep up his promise! It so happened yesterday that even while watching the India Vs Pakistan cricket match, my hubby used his blackberry!
There would always be some explanation, saying work is more important, am not denying that point, but there should be a limit, is all that I say!
I felt so happy when his phone went for a toss! For those 2 days, I was the happiest person in the world!
My hubby will never mind the difference if am not there at home, but he can never be separated from his black berry! May be wife and kids should disguise as blackberry to get the hubby’s or dad’s attention!
I am sure even Gautama Buddha would get angry if he lives with such a spouse!
Now that, am planning to take up a role that would give me a blackberry, just to show it to my hubby, how it really feels! When he wants a roti, I would check my phone before flipping the roti on the stove, making him wait in the hall J
